    1. Industrial Water Treatment

    Used in industrial cooling water, circulating water, oilfield reinjection water, and thermal power plant systems to kill bacteria, control algae, and remove biological slime, thereby preventing corrosion and blockages in pipes and equipment.

    Mode of Action

    CMIT/MIT exerts its biocidal effect by breaking the bonds in bacterial and algal proteins. Upon contact with microorganisms, it rapidly and irreversibly inhibits their growth, leading to cell death. Consequently, it exhibits strong inhibitory and killing effects against common bacteria, fungi, and algae.

    Dosage

    ●  When used as a biofilm stripper, the dosage is 150–300 mg/L;

    ●  When used as a biocide, it should be added once every 3–7 days at a dosage of 80–100 mg/L.

    ●  It can be used concurrently with oxidizing biocides such as chlorine, but should not be used in cooling water systems containing sulfides.

    ●  CMIT/MIT achieves better results when used in combination with quaternary ammonium salts.

    ●  When used as an industrial biocide and antifungal agent, the typical concentration is 0.05–0.4%.

    Storage

    Store in a cool, dry place. During storage, avoid direct contact with metal containers such as iron.

    Safety Precautions

    This product is corrosive. Avoid contact with eyes and skin. Wear splash-proof goggles and rubber gloves during handling. In case of contact, rinse thoroughly with water and seek medical attention immediately.
