1. Preservative in personal care and household chemical products:

It can be used as a preservative in various leave-on and rinse-off personal care products (such as shampoo, body wash, liquid soap, facial cleanser, wet wipes, sunscreen, and hair gel), effectively preventing the growth of bacteria, mold, and yeast. Its advantages include efficacy at low concentrations (typically not exceeding 0.01%) and compatibility with most surfactants and formulation ingredients.

2. Industrial Water Treatment

Widely used to control microorganisms in industrial cooling water systems, recirculating water systems, oilfield reinjection water, and wastewater treatment. It inhibits the growth of bacteria, fungi, and algae, preventing equipment corrosion, biofouling, and blockages, and ensuring system operational efficiency.

3. Paints, Coatings, and Polymer Emulsions

When added to water-based coatings, paints, resin emulsions, adhesives, and similar products, it prevents spoilage, deterioration, or mold growth caused by microbial activity during storage and use.

Used as a preservative in metalworking fluids (such as cutting fluids and grinding fluids), it inhibits microbial growth, extends service life, and prevents the development of unpleasant odors.
